Our directors Mr William Mogale Sekgala and Mr Jehoshaphat John Njau possess a wide range of expertise and abilities distinctively assembled with one goal in mind – to address the needs of our clients.

  • Mr Sekgala obtained his LLB-Degree from the University of Pretoria in 2011. Mr Sekgala served his articles at the University of Pretoria Law clinic and was retained as a Professional Assistant after his admission as an Attorney in 2015. Prior to joining Sekgala and Njau Attorneys, he was the founder and sole director of Mogale Sekgala Attorneys a firm of attorneys he founded in 2016. Mr Sekgala further served as a Director at Nemaxwi & Sekgala Attorneys where he gained extensive knowledge and skills in general civil litigation.

    Mr Sekgala has extensive experience in general civil litigation. He heads the firm’s wills, trusts, deceased estate and unlawful arrest matters.

    Mr Sekgala is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa and a member of the South African Legal Practice Council.

  • Mr Njau obtained his LLB-degree and LLM-degree in Company Law from the University of Pretoria in 2009 and 2012 respectively.

    Mr Njau began his legal career at Iqbal Mohamed Attorneys in 2013. He was admitted as an Attorney in 2014 and a Notary Public in 2015.

    Before co-founding Sekgala and Njau attorneys, Mr Njau was an associate at Rontgen and Rontgen Attorneys for over six years where he acquired extensive experience in civil ligation, personal injury, family and divorce law and ante-nuptial contracts. Mr Njau also worked at the Centre for Human Rights, an academic department at the faculty of law of the University of Pretoria, as a project coordinator responsible for the protection and promotion of the rights of persons with disabilities.

    He is a specialist in company law, business rescue and restructuring, prenuptial contracts, divorce and personal injury claims including those involving the Road Accident Fund.

    Mr Njau is also an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa and a member of the South African Legal Practice Council.

  • Mrs Lerato Fortunate Mokoena graduated with LLB-Degree from the University of South Africa (UNISA) in 2021. During her studies, she gained practical legal experience and exposure through her voluntary work at Mogale Sekgala Attorneys. She also took part in different programmes such as Moot Court, Master of High Court and mentorship programme (SAC-IAWJ) under the mentor Magistrate LJ Ledwaba.

    Mrs Mokoena joined Sekgala and Njau Attorneys as a candidate attorney in January 2022.

    Mrs Mokoena has a keen interest in conveyancing, trademark, family law and international trade law, and through her tenacity and passion she hopes to develop these interests into valuable skills at Sekgala and Njau Attorneys.
